Indigo Green Checks is 100% cotton bazin fabric. Bazin fabric, also known as Damask, was first created in Damascus, Syria, centuries ago. It is a pure cotton jacquard which renders a silky sheen, traditionally used for special occasions like party dressing and formal attire. The finest Bazin Riche is beaten by hand wit wooden mallets to achieve that extra, almost rubbery gloss. It was made by Adire Lounge company, a hand dyed textile company that creates unique custom fabrics and also empowers women and youth in rural communities through traditional craftsmanship.
