Dark indigo stripes is 100% cotton bazin fabric . Bazin fabric, also known as Damask, was first created in Damascus, Syria, centuries ago. It is a pure cotton jacquard which renders a silky sheen,traditionally used for special occasions like party dressing and formal attire. The finest Bazin Riche is beated by hand wit wooden mallets to achieve that extra, almost rubbery gloss. It was made by Mariama fashion production, a company that connects artisans in West Africa and designers around the world in order to make custom made fabrics and prints with traditional craftsmanship.
